Hello friends! And welcome to my website, where I talk about all my favourite things to showcase them and get others excited about them too. I have rather large collections of items in each of these categories, and so the odds of running out of things to talk about are very low. Especially with new comics and movies and all sorts of other fun things being released so frequently.

One thing to note is that most of my reviews will contain affiliate links to buy these items. This will allow me to keep this website running without having to use our savings that is supposed to go towards a down payment on a house (sorry honey!) My frugal wife is gifted with budgeting so we hope to have enough saved up within the next ten years, but having this website pay for itself would be very helpful. And I can hopefully put back the savings that I borrowed to create it in the first place. Otherwise my wife will take it out of my comic book budget, and we can’t have that!

My main reason for creating this website is to allow myself to embrace the enthusiasm I have for all these passions without feeling the need to hide it. I grew up in a very toxic environment, where enjoying fun things was seen as weak and useless. And it took me decades to finally be able to give myself permission to openly enjoy these things. But it was a long, gradual process, and to this day, I have moments of fear where I feel like if I get this new comic, or if I watch this show, something terrible will happen.

Which brings me to this wonderful idea, thought up by my brilliant wife! Now that I have finally started taking the steps to healing from the trauma, we decided that it would be good for me to talk about my interests, which have been forbidden to me for most of my life. After that, my plan for the next step in my journey to heal my trauma is to write a novel, and find the courage to publish it, which will be the most difficult part. Writing these articles is already incredibly nerve-wracking because of all the negative comments I’ve had about my interests. But I’m hoping to gain confidence as I add more and more articles, which will also help hone my writing abilities.

I know that I have a lot to learn, but I am willing to try my absolute hardest to create something wonderful with this website. And hopefully, through it I can help at least one person find their own nerdy pride.
